Achievements and Badges
Slay the Spire 2 has no Steam achievements yet; asked when they come, Casey Yano answered "The v1.0 release." In Early Access its stand-in is Badges, 23 end-of-run awards such as Flawless (beat a boss without losing HP) or Speedy (win in under 50 minutes), which also rank Daily leaderboards: by win, then Badge count, then time, among Steam friends.
Slay the Spire 2 has no Steam achievements: Steam's achievements page for the game says "No stats are available at this time" (Steam, read Oct 26, 2026), and when a player asked when they would arrive, Casey Yano answered "The v1.0 release." (Mega Crit's August 2026 Neowsletter). What the Early Access game has instead are Badges, notes at the end of a run that point out what was special about it, from beating a boss without losing HP to forgetting to spend your Gold (Major Update #1, Apr 17, 2026). The main-branch game data lists 23 Badges, eight of them in bronze, silver and gold tiers (Spire Codex, game data v0.107.1). Badges also decide your place on the Daily leaderboards, which rank runs by whether you won, then how many Badges you earned, then how fast you finished.

No Steam achievements until 1.0
Slay the Spire 2 has shipped without Steam achievements, and Mega Crit plans them for the end of Early Access. Steam's own global achievement percentages for the game came back empty on Oct 26, 2026 (Steam Web API), and the store lists Stats and Steam Leaderboards but no achievements (Steam). Mega Crit's April 2026 roadmap put "Steam Achievements & Tradings Cards" under "Further off in the Future", beside ports and a "True Victory" (Mega Crit's April 2026 Neowsletter), and in August Yano tied them to "The v1.0 release." Mega Crit has announced no 1.0 date; see Early Access and Roadmap.
The in-game Achievements screen is also still to come. Yano called the Bestiary "this final screen in the compendium (outside of the Achievements page, which is to come much later)" (Major Update #2, Jun 19, 2026), and on the public beta since v0.110.0 (Jul 31, 2026) paging between the Stats screens was turned off "as Achievements screen does not exist yet" (v0.110.0 notes).
Daily and Custom runs will not count toward them. Since v0.100.0, on the main branch since Apr 17, 2026, the game warns that Daily and Custom runs "cannot unlock Epochs and Achievements" (v0.100.0 notes); the line refers to a system that is not live yet. See Daily Climb and Custom Mode.
What Badges are
Badges are short awards shown at the end of a run. Mega Crit describes them as noting "various things that happened during a run like defeating a boss without losing HP, beating the game quickly, specific easter eggs, or pointing out that you forgot to spend your gold. They're meant as little reminders to let you know what was unique about each adventure." (Major Update #1). They appeared on the public beta in v0.102.0 on Apr 3, 2026 (v0.102.0 notes) and reached everyone with Major Update #1.
You can look them up later. Since v0.103.0 Badges show in the Run History screen (v0.103.0 notes), and Major Update #2 added controller navigation for them there and on the game over screen (Major Update #2).
Many need a win, and some are tiered. Of the 23 in the game data, 12 can be earned only on a winning run, and eight come in bronze, silver and gold tiers with a harder goal each (Spire Codex).

Source: Spire Codex (game data, v0.107.1), read Oct 26, 2026; names and wording as the game gives them, including "Miniscule".
Three of them came later than the rest. Damage Leader, Debuffer and C-c-c-Combo ("Played 20 cards in a single turn.") were added on the public beta in v0.104.0 on Apr 24, 2026 and reached the main branch with Major Update #2 on Jun 19, 2026 (v0.104.0 notes; Major Update #2).
Mega Crit has fixed how some are awarded. Since v0.107.1, "The Perfect badge is no longer awarded if you abandon a run at a boss" (Major Update #2); on the public beta since v0.111.0 (Aug 14, 2026), Badges are no longer lost if you leave the game over screen early (v0.111.0 notes), and since v0.108.0 the run timer pauses in the single-player pause menu (v0.108.0 notes).
The multiplayer Badges reward roles in a team. Damage Leader and Debuffer go to the player who did the most of each, Mender counts heals given to allies at rest sites, and Team Player counts multiplayer-only cards in your deck; see Co-op Multiplayer and Multiplayer Cards.
Score
Score is still counted, but it no longer decides the leaderboards. Mega Crit dropped what it called "magic numbers" in April 2026: "While there are still points accrued for unlocking new cards and such, the score that's sent to the leaderboards and how it's sorted is based on whether you won, how many badges you accrued, and how quickly you finished the run (in that order)." (Major Update #1). The points you earn pay for Epochs on the Timeline; see Unlocks and the Timeline.
In co-op, Gold counts as the party's average. Since v0.103.0, "In multiplayer games, gold score is averaged out across all players to make score uploading consistent for the new schema" (v0.103.0 notes).
Leaderboards
Slay the Spire 2's leaderboards are for Daily runs and show your Steam friends. Casey Yano explained the friends-only view in April 2026: "We'll add a way to view global scores later. In general, we don't really want to incorporate invasive anti-cheat protection into the game so it's sort of impossible for us to prevent people putting in the maximum score." (v0.103.0 notes). The board shows each run's floor, Badge count and time instead of a score, and your own name is highlighted in blue.
They have grown since. The public beta's v0.106.0 (May 22, 2026) added "a global rank paginator" and the ability to see scores near your own (v0.106.0 notes); Major Update #2 brought the near-your-score view to the main branch and moved the game over screen's leaderboards up "to make room for the toggle" (Major Update #2).
Main-branch and beta players do not share a board. Since the April change, "leaderboards between main branch and beta branch will be separate going forward" (Major Update #1).
Run History
Run History keeps your past runs. It sits in the Compendium with the card, relic and potion libraries, statistics and the Bestiary (Major Update #2), and each run lists the Badges it earned. Fixes in May and June 2026 stopped Steam Cloud syncing from duplicating run history files (May Bug Fixes). Records claimed by players, which no leaderboard checks, are on Records and Speedruns.

Early Access and RoadmapSlay the Spire 2 has been in Steam Early Access since Mar 5, 2026 and Mega Crit has announced no 1.0 date; its store page says Early Access may last 1 to 2 years and that the $24.99 price will rise afterward. Next on the roadmap are an Alternate Act 2 and a new character, then an Alternate Act 3, with a true ending, Steam achievements and console and mobile ports further off. -
Daily Climb and Custom ModeBesides Standard runs, Slay the Spire 2 has Daily runs, one shared run a day with a fixed character, Ascension and three modifiers, ranked on a friends-only leaderboard, and Custom runs, where you pick from 16 modifiers such as Draft, Flight, Midas or Murderous. Neither earns Epochs. Phobia Mode is a setting that redraws creepy enemies; Mega Crit is working on new experimental modes, none released yet.
-
Co-op MultiplayerSlay the Spire 2 has online co-op for up to 4 players, Steam friends only with no matchmaking: one player hosts and the others join, everyone shares the map and fights the same enemies, which scale with the party, while each player keeps their own character, HP, deck, relics and rewards. Co-op has its own multiplayer-only cards and its own Ascension progress. -
Multiplayer CardsSlay the Spire 2 has 21 multiplayer-only cards on the main branch v0.107.1, two for each character and 11 colorless, such as Knockdown, Flanking and Rally, which only appear in co-op runs and target allies. The opt-in public beta adds 16 more (15 in v0.108.0 and Tutor in v0.109.0).
-
Unlocks and the TimelineSlay the Spire 2 unlocks its characters in a chain by playing one run (win or lose) with each: the Ironclad unlocks the Silent, then the Regent, the Necrobinder and the Defect. Everything else (cards, relics, potions, Ancients, the Underdocks, Ascension, Daily and Custom runs) comes from 57 Epochs on the Timeline, earned by goals such as beating an act or by spending score; Daily and Custom runs earn none.
-
Records and SpeedrunsAs of Oct 26, 2026 neither Mega Crit nor the gaming press has reported a Slay the Spire 2 speedrun world record or a verified win-streak record; the records on file are Mega Crit's own (3 million sold in a week, 240 million runs by May 2026) and SteamDB's 574,638 concurrent players on Mar 8, 2026. The best-known competitions are the Devour the Tower co-op tournament (May 25, 2026) and China's 7th Cat Food Cup (Aug 8 to 30, 2026).
